Warhol, Andy (1928-1987) Artist and filmmaker, an initiator and leading exponent of the Pop art movement of the 1960s. Through calculated self-promotion, he projected the image of the artist as a celebrity, astute businessman, and social climber.

Signatures. This lot of four Warhol examples features three full signatures ("Andy Warhol") and one set of initials ("AW"). Warhol has signed two Time Magazine covers, one featuring his portrait of John Gotti and one featuring his portrait of Lee Iacocca (Iacocca's signature also appears). Warhol's signature also appears matted with a print of a section of his "Marilyn Monroe" and his initials have been matted with a print of "Campbell's Soup." There has been some restoration on the Iacocca cover, but all of the items are in very good condition.
Estimated Value $200 - 300.
