Chagall, Marc (1887-1985) A pioneer of 20th Century Fantastic art, Chagall turned images drawn from Russian and Jewish folklore into brilliant stained glass, murals, lithographs and paintings.
Signature ("Chagall"). Signed Time Magazine cover. Signed in black ink on the white portion of this self-portrait. There is some adhesive residue from the mailing label at the bottom left corner and the cover has been matted to 11 x 14". Otherwise, the piece is in very good condition.
The Chagall 1965 self-portrait for Time is nice representation of his work, combining color and form to unique effect.
