Awarded to Lieutenant-General Teren’tev G.N. by decree of 09/14/1945, for skillful command and successful operation in war against Japan. At the time of awarding, comrade Teren’tev was serving as commander of 49th Rifle Corps, 7th Guards Army. Career officer, general Teren’tev joined Red Army in October 1918. Participated in Civil War on the Western Front. Deputy Commander of 40th Rifle Division, 25th Army by the start of Great Patriotic War. Recipient of order of Lenin, 3 orders of Red Banner, 2 orders of Suvorov 2nd class, orders of Kutuzov 1st and 2nd class, order of Red Star, plus numerous medals.
