Important Collection Of Early Anglo-Palestine Bonds. Collection of 18 Anglo Palestine bonds. Includes two "One thousand francs as a deposit at 4% interest per annum…to be repaid to the Bearer of this Debenture…." that is the first loan given to the settlers of Achusat Bayet to buy the first land in Tel Aviv - in mint condition with all the coupons; Five certificates for shares in the Anglo-Palestine, dated in 1936 and 1939, in very fine condition; four certificates representing shares in The Jewish Colonial Trust, dated 1900, in good condition; Two 1968 Israel bonds in the amount of a Half Piastre 20-year bonds; An Anglo-Palestine Bank deposit receipt from 1940 and a dividend from 1938; Historic pair of paper tokens from the late 19th century, issued by the Yeshiva Ahavat Hessed (perhaps the first examples of Jewish paper money) one virtually as issued, the other with fold mark; and the last is a very impressive Government of Palestine Bearer Bond issued in 1944, with 11 interest coupons attached, overall excellent condition. A fascinating and historic lot.
