Poertzel, Otto. Aristocrat with Borzoi Dogs. Lovely, vintage original German sculpture titled "Woman with Borzoi Dogs" (circa 1930) by Otto Poertzel (1876-1963) known for his elegant sculptures celebrating the sensual lines that defined the Art Deco period. Figure is of beautiful patinated bronze with bone accents mounted for the face and hands, mounted upon a three tier, marble and onyx base. Signed in the bronze part of base, "Prof. O Poertzel". The piece measures approximately 18" x 19½" x 7½" and is in overall excellent condition with usual age toning given a piece of this age. These quality art deco pieces are becoming more valuable and harder to find. Measures 25" x 22" x 11" and weighs over 25 pounds. Buyer responsible for third party shipping.
