Great Britain-Suffolk. Thomas Tallant Conder Penny Token, 1795. D&H-33. Hoxne. A beautifully struck prooflike mint state example with much original mint red. Obverse, a member of the Loyal Suffolk Yeomanry Cavalry in uniform, dismounted and leaning on his horse. Reverse, a castle with twin towers. This was issued by Thomas Tallant who was probably a member of the Hoxne and Hartsmere troop of the Loyal Suffolk Yeomanry Cavalry. As well as currency, this token was probably used as a Volunteer medalet. Choice Uncirculated.
