1816 N-2 R1 PCGS Genuine, AU Details, Cleaning. A very lightly worn cent that was cleaned and retoned glossy chocolate and light olive brown mixed with steel. The obverse toning looks original but the toning on the reverse is a bit uneven. No marks or other defects. M-LDS with the usual rim cud breaks from star 8 to star 11 plus a smaller one between stars 11 & 12. The reverse is rotated 30 degrees CW. Most likely from the Randall Hoard of mint state cents. Our grade is AU50 sharpness net EF40.
