Lot 1508

1865-S. PCGS graded MS-63. Lovely shades of light golden toning and particularly attractive for this date and mint. Curiously before the discovery of two shipwrecks that contained this issue, this date was virtually unobtainable in mint state, especially in Choice grades! The strike is sharp and the surfaces are a delight to study, with ample luster and eye appeal throughout. A prize for the astute numismatist to pursue! (PCGS # 8944) .
Estimated Value $13,000 - 14,000.

Realized $14,100
