Mary Pickford, Buddy Rogers Signed Photo by George Hurrell. Mary Pickford, who appeared in a staggering 251 films virtually all during the silent era with countless classics to her credit has been called by historians as likely the most popular screen actress of all time. She was one of the 36 original founders of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and at one point literally Hollywood royalty during her marriage to Douglas Fairbanks residing at their legendary home named 'Pickfair'. Was the second actress to win an Oscar, founded with Chaplin and Griffith United Artists Pictures, for years the highest paid woman in the world and scores of other accomplishments. After her divorce from Fairbanks, Pickford married Charles Buddy Rogers, eleven years her junior, adopted two children together and remained married for 42 years until her death. Offered here is a vintage 8½" x 6½" original double weight, black and white photo by famed photographer George Hurrell (quite a famous portrait in his remarkable career) signed in fountain pen by Mary Pickford and years later in Flair pen by Charles Buddy Rogers and in very fine condition.
Estimated Value $400 - 600.
