Jean Harlow, "The Platinum Blonde" proved one of the greatest stars of 1930's cinema with scores of hits beginning with Howard Hughes casting her in Hell's Angels then he continued successes with such films as The Public Enemy, Platinum Blonde, Red Dust and many others, only to be cut down tragically with kidney disease. Offered is a stunning, full length image of Harlow by Herbert Mitchell for Milgrim's Specialty Department Stores in NYC. Sally Milgrim was one of the first clothing designers to use celebrities to advertise her ready-to-wear line of clothing. This 8" x 10" image from the private collection of Herbert Mitchell Studios is a double-weight portrait stamped on verso "Credit Mitchell Studios NYC" printed in warm sepia. This is an outstanding image of Harlow, with photo in excellent condition nicely matted and framed to a total of 14" x 17".
