Well-engraved horn with floral designs and a picture of a Queen Anne drop-leaf table with three candles, probably denoting a and Masonic emblem as their symbols were often used on powder horns. Original plug. Moses Whelor's record includes five years of service. In 1746 he is shown at Fort Number Four as a private in Capt. Phineas Steven's Company, in 1747 in Lt. Col William Williams' Company, in 1748 as a sergeant in Capt. Humphrey Hobbs' Company, in 1750 as a private at Fort Dummerin Josiah Willard's Cmpany, and in 1751, as a private again at Fort Number Four in Capt. Stevens' Company. Ref: Powder Horns.
