Leaf From Nuremberg Chronicle - Sexta etas mundi, Folium CCXLV. A large leaf of the famous Liber Chronicarum by Hartmann-Schedel, published in Latin in May of 1493, 17 x 11¾ in. With hand-colored woodcut on one side of two lovers; on the other side are two hand-colored woodcuts of Pope Nicholas V (1447-1455), founder of the Vatican Library, and Pope Callixtus III (1455-1458), the first member of the Borgia family to become Pope. With two illuminated manuscript leaves, vellum, 7 x 5¼ in. and 6¾ x 4¾ in., decorated with gold, red, blue and green letters, designs and miniature pictures.
