Shchedrin, Rodion (1932 -) Russian composer. Booklet inscribed to Marc Reschetnik and signed, 7¾ x 10¼ in., May 9, 1956. The booklet is an addition to a Soviet art magazine called "Art of the Young Composers." An anthology of works by five Russian composers, Shchedrin's contribution, a "Ballade," is the longest work in the booklet (10 pages). There is a second inscription to Reschetnik and signature, which seems to be by Edouard Denisot, also on the title page, dated Mar. 29, 1957.
