Army of the Potomac - Collection of Letters Regarding Reunions, etc. Group of approximately 30 letters written to Horace C. King, who was Secretary of the Society of the Army of the Potomac, regarding their attendance at reunions and other business. Written between 1880 and 1909, the group contains autograph letters signed, typed letters signed, and one War Dept. card signed. Includes Cabinet Members (many on official letterhead), and other prominent men, including: William M. Evarts (3), Elihu Root (2), George B. Cortelyou (3), John D. Long (1), Russel A. Alger (16 - many of these regard other business), Henry L. Stimson (1), and H.W. Slocum (1). A few other personal letters are included and a photo of Horace King. Expected toning; very good to fine.
