Harrison, Benjamin (1726-1791) Signer of the Declaration of Independence. Harrison later served as Virginia's fifth governor. His direct descendants include two U.S. Presidents: his son William Henry Harrison and great-grandson Benjamin Harrison. Document boldly signed ("Benj. Harrison") as Governor, partially printed, accomplished in brown ink, one page, 4" x 7", no place, June 29, 1784. A land grant issued to Private Harband Tomlinson for three years service in the Continental Army. Light age toning. Two minuscule chips top and right edges.
