Starr, Blaze (1932 -) 1950s stripper and burlesque queen, primarily known for her long affair with Louisiana governor Earl Long. Autograph letter signed, on blue lined paper, 1 page, 11" x 8½", n.p., n.d. To Ernie, regarding a short tryst in the White House with JFK during the Cuban Missile Crisis -- ''…Robert Kennedy stood in the open door…LBJ stood in the hall with his arms folded…After a very short time (very short) JFK jumped up and said he was very, very, sorry, but he had to leave. While he was dressing he said 'Boy, if Fidel Castro had something like you he would think more about making love, and less about making war.'" Starr has adorned the letter with a nude drawing of herself, a rose, a blazing star and her lipstick prints. Also included is a copy of Blaze Starr / My Life as Told to Huey Perry. First Edition, 1974. Signed and inscribed on the front endpaper " To Jim / Before you get / to [sic] old / come up and see / me sometime / Love Blaze Starr."
