British and Dutch Statesmen. Collection of signed documents and letters for the following statesmen: Lord Frederick North (1713-1792), Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1770 to 1782; Sir Ralph Abercromby (1734-1801), Lieutenant-General in the British Army; Sir John Thomas Duckworth (1748-1817), Royal Navy Admiral and Governor of Newfoundland; Sir Charles Napier (1786-1860), Royal Navy Admiral; Lord Francis Rawdon-Hastings (1754-1826), 1st Marquess of Hastings and Second Earl of Moira; Earl Louis Mountbatten of Burma (1900-1979) Royal Navy Admiral and Governor General of India; Johan de Witt (1625-1672) Dutch statesman and naval officer; Cornelius de Witt (1623-1672) Dutch statesman and the older brother of Johan de Witt. The lot also includes an unidentified ALS, dated July 20, 1732, signed "Berwick" and a sepia toned engraving of the Earl of Uxbridge. The documents are various sizes and are dated from the 1700s to 1900s. Overall in very good condition.
