Harding Warren G. Typed letter signed as President, on White House letterhead, 1 page, 8¾ x 6¾ in., Washington, D.C., May 1, 1923. To Henry L. Stoddard, editor of The New York Evening Mail. A warm thank you letter from one old newspaper man to another: "… I doubt if you know how gratifying to me is the receipt of such a message. Inasmuch as I have spent quite all of my active life in intimate association with the making of a newspaper I always treasure, above all else, the good opinion and the encouraging words of a fellow newspaperman." Strong bold signature in black ink. Age toned. Two paperclip rust marks at left top and left center margins.
