Adams, John Quincy. Partial document signed ("J.Q. Adams") as President, 1 page, 1¾ x 5½ in., brown ink, Washington, June 19, 1826. Endorsement clipped from a larger handwritten document reads: "given under my hand at the City of Washington, the nineteenth day of June A.D. 1826, and of the Independence of the United States of America the Fiftieth." Light age toning. Matted with two large Commemorative Presidential bronze medals; a printed color portrait of President Adams; a printed excerpt from Adam's 1825 Message To Congress ("The great object of the institution of civil government is the improvement of the condition of those who are party to the social compact…"); and a decorative metal name plate. Attractively framed to an overall size of 15 x 19 in.
