To New York Congressman Seymour Halpern, writing, "We are returning from the first sea trials of the USS PARGO (SSN650), our thirtieth attack type nuclear submarine," and giving details about the submarine. With a second typed letter signed ("H G Rickover"), on letterhead of the USS Mariano G. Vallejo, 3 pages, 10½ x 8 in, At Sea, North Pacific, Nov. 7, 1966. To John E. Moss, U.S. representative from California, announcing the launching of the 40th Polaris nuclear submarine, the USS Mariano G. Vallejo, and recounting the story of Vallejo's life.
