Ornate Byzantine Silver Communion Spoon, ca. 6th-12th century AD. A Byzantine silver communion spoon, bearing an inscription "E+-I ROM…" on the handle and a monogram on the silver circle whichconnects the handle to the bowl. Partial inscription and monogram on other side. The handle terminates in a conical decoration tapering to a point. Entirely intact. Measures: 21 X 3 X 2.5 cm; Weighs: 18.4 g.
