Apulian. Red-Figure Oinochoe, ca. 430-300 BC. A red-figure oinochoe with pedestal base, mastoid body, funicular neck and trefoil spout; the handle a broad ribbed strap; body depicts a woman seated left looking right; wearing a girdled chiton, necklace, bracelets, an earing, and hair tied up; holding patera and bag with long grain stalk before her. Foot has been expertly repaired, otherwise, completely intact. Cf. Bonhams, London, 20 October 2005, Lot 309. Measures: 28 X 11.5 cm.
