Lot 1389

Two Daum Art Glass Vases. Daum Glassworks, founded in 1878 by Jean Daum in Nancy, France and expanded greatly by his sons, Auguste and Antonin Daum, during the burgeoning Art Nouveau period. In this lot, 2 small, signature pieces of Daum enameled art and opaque glass both with scenes of Holland on ocean's edge completely rendered along the circumference of each piece. Both signed on bottom Daum, next the Cross of Lorraine symbol, followed by Nancy. The first, a cabinet vase measuring 5½" tall by 3" at widest. The other, a pillow shaped vase 3" x 4" x 2". Both in excellent condition and highly representative of the astonishing detail and artistry of Daum.
Estimated Value $700 - 900.

Realized $2,625
