Karp, Max. A Day At The Beach. Acclaimed American artist, Max Karp, is one of the few contemporary painters to use enamel for his artistic work. He is recognized as a chief exponent of modern enameling, creating kiln-fired collectibles. Offered here is a lovely enamel on copper "painting" of a lovely day at the beach at the turn of the century. The enamel process gives a warm impressionist feel to the work with the beautifully selected ultra fine glass powder fused to copper in a high-heat kiln. A painstaking process which tenders unique and beautiful results in the hands of a true master Piece meaures 24" x 30" and elegantly framed to 32" x 38". Note, due to the weight of the materials used (copper panel and fused glass powder) the piece weighs roughly 45 pounds with frame. Buyer responsible for shipping.
