Marc Chagall (1887-1985), one of the great artists of the 20th Century whose poetic, figurative style made him one of the most popular modern artists in the world having flirted with many radical styles at various points throughout his life including Cubism, Fauvism, Suprematism and Surrealism. Chagall created works in virtually every artistic medium, including painting, book illustrations, stained glass, stage sets, ceramic, tapestries, mosaics and fine art prints. Offered is an original gouache on paper, ca. 1950s, 26" x 23". Artwork examined out of frame (photographs on file) evaluated and appraised by Richard Ruskin of Ruskin Fine Arts, March, 22, 1986 (original certificate on file). In gilt frame, under glass, 34" x 32" and in excellent condition.
