Offered is a singularly rare, private $25,000 (year, 1962) commission by a patron of the arts in Los Angeles later passed onto the son. Anyone familiar with Amiry's work know well his focus has remained in still life subjects. Here working on his largest canvas as confirmed by Amiry himself, is a dense, remarkably textured original oil on canvas of a secluded forest, with the artist's mastery of light, perspective and detail clearly evident.
