Loose leaf binder (broken) represents a compilation of technical reference material addressing Space Shuttle Main Engine(s) performance data and Columbia's mass properties, vehicle loading for example. Data of this nature was utilized to initialize ground processors prior to launch. Console book information was updated as vehicle perfomance data changed and was utilized to support simulations and STS-9 day-of-launch/Ascent in Houston's Mission Control Center.
