1858, 8 over 7. FS-301, Large Letters. NGC graded MS-63. Lightly toned. Popular Red Book variety. This is the strong overdate variety and is easily identifiable by the top of the 7 showing above the final 8, and a sharp die chip in the field above the 85 and below the eagle's breast, as well as the broken wing tip on the uppermost wing near OF. These features are always found on this particular overdate variety. A prize for the astute specialist of this series. Pop 17; 50 finer for the variety, 45 in 64, 5 in 65.
