Lot 1818

1808 BD-4 Rarity 3+. PCGS graded MS-62. Frosty and untoned save for a blush of orange-gold coloration. Lustrous and attractive, with smooth surfaces and no distracting marks. Very fresh and wholesome. This piece is sure to bring a smile to the new buyer's face! Fantastic eye appeal and quite close to an MS-63 grade. Deserving of a strong bid for the technical and aesthetic qualities. The strike is well centered and sharp enough to bring up Liberty's curls and the eagle's feathers. A handsome example of the recently adopted design by John Reich. Only 55,578 struck. Pop 25; 36 finer, 19 in 63, 15 in 64, 2 in 65. (PCGS # 8102) .
Estimated Value $13,000 - 14,000.
