Lot 1298

1873-CC. No Arrows. PCGS graded MS-62 PQ. Lovely light even lavender toning ovdr lustrous fields. The strike is bold too, with no distracting softness on the devices. This is a key date with a mintage of only 122,500 pieces--which is about half as many as the Arrows issue of this date and mint. Coming from the famed Carson City Mint keeps demand high when one of these appears on the market, and most collectors hope to obtain an example in Very Fine or so, with only the most advanced seeking an incredbile mint state coin like this offering. Well struck. Pop 3; 7 finer (PCGS # 6338) .
Estimated Value $15,000 - 18,000.
