1723 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny Martin 4.85-Gc.22 Rarity-3. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown. Choice lustrous steel brown and light chocolate with peeps of mint color remaining on both sides. Essentially a flawless example. A tiny planchet flake under the R in GEORGIUS (as struck) is the only defect. Nicely struck E-MDS with a fine die crack through the top of BERN in HIBERNIA. Listed on page 45 in the "Redbook." Population 9; 1 finer in 66BN for the type.
