1856 N-6 R1 Upright 5. PCGS graded MS-63 Red & Brown. Frosty light steel brown faded down from mint color with 20% of the red remaining. Choice except for a series of nicks on the rim from below star 4 to star 6 and a small carbon spot on the leaf tip over the end of the wreath ribbon. LDS, die state c. The point from the bust tip is dull and barely visible and all the die lines found in the early state are gone. This variety is common in mint state but only in the early die state. Uncirculated examples in the late state are rare. Our grade is MS60.
