1856 N-6 R1 Upright 5. PCGS graded MS-64 Red & Brown. Lustrous bluish steel brown and light chocolate with nearly a third of the mint red remaining, mostly on the reverse. Sharp and attractive. The notable marks are an arc of slightly darker toning at the dentils over star 11, a spot of darker chocolate brown toning between the A & M in AMERICA, and a patch of similar toning at the bottom of the N in ONE. These small areas of darker toning are just toning, not carbon. EDS, die state a. The die defect at the bust tip is sharp and the fine die lines at S-OF-A are visible. Our grade is MS63. The attribution is shown on the PCGS label (PCGS # 404589) .
Estimated Value $500-UP.
