Lot 881
Trio of 1855 N-9 R1 Italic 5's "Knob-on-Ear" Die States. Includes M-LDS (f early) with the knob break under the T fully raised and the branch under the Y slightly raised VF35, LDS (f late) with the branch of the knob under the Y fully raised VF35, and the extremely rare TDS (g) with the narrow void between the two parts of the knob nearly filled with additional crumbling so it appears to be a single very large knob break. All are attractive glossy brown and chocolate. A nice progression of die states. Lot of 3 coins.
