Pair of 1853 Cents in Rare Die States. Includes N-21 R4 EDS (a) graded VF30 and an N-23 R4 EDS (a) graded VF35 (removed from an NGC slab graded AU55, label #3313373-007 included). The earliest die lines from the dentils at star 1 on the N-21 are dull but still visible, and the earliest die lines described for the N-23 variety in the Grellman book are clear (as is the stray 4 punched into the back of the ear). A nice pair of cents, both attractive glossy brown and chocolate. Lot of 2 coins.
