1849 N-21 R4 AU58. Lustrous medium chocolate brown and steel. A beautiful cent with the lightest touch of friction on the highest points of the devices. The only notable marks are some barely visible planchet flakes on the rim at the bottom of the obverse, as struck. LDS with a narrow irregular rim cud break from star 5 to beyond star 8. Tied for CC#4 honors in the Grellman census for this tough variety.
