1849 N-16 R5 VF30. Sharpness AU50 but the reverse is covered with fine granularity while the obverse is smooth and attractive. The obverse is attractive frosty light chocolate brown while the reverse is a similar color but relatively dull. Traces of shallow verdigris are tucked into protected areas at TES-OF and a few other places on the reverse. No notable contact marks. LDS, die state c, with crumbling tucked into the bottom of the 9 and around several of the stars. Removed from an NGC slab graded AU Details, Environmental Damage (NGC label #5130748-019 included, and it shows the attribution).
