Lot 728
1849 N-3 R3 EF40. Five points sharper but cleaned and nicely retoned glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Smooth and attractive for the grade. The only marks are a tiny planchet flake on the throat, as struck, and a small spot between stars 6 & 7. Scarce VLDS, die state v, with extensive crumbling on the reverse.
