1848 N-1 R1 Repunched 184 MS60+. Glossy steel and medium chocolate brown with traces of mint red on the obverse while 15% of the reverse shows mint color. Smooth and very attractive. No spots or stains, only a few microscopic contact marks including two ticks on the eyebrow and a tiny diagonal nick in the field off the chin. MDS, die state b. Traces of repunching are still visible on the 18 and it remains clear on the 4. The fields on both sides are smooth and slightly reflective thanks to a fresh die polishing. Tied for CC#4 in the Grellman census.
