Lot 496

1829 N-6 R1 Large Letters. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown. CAC Approved. Highly lustrous bluish steel brown and light chocolate. Satiny mint frost covers everything, even the highest points on the devices, giving this cent exceptional eye appeal. The obverse is virtually flawless, the only defects being a very faint spot between stars 2 & 3 and another under star 4. The reverse would be flawless except for a spot of darker toning between the tops of the E & S in STATES and another between the R & I in AMERICA, plus a couple tiny specks elsewhere on that side. Very sharply struck E-MDS showing complete radials on all the stars and full veins on all the leaves. A premium example of the date, clearly in the condition census for the business strikes of this variety. Our grade is MS63+, very close to MS64. The attribution is shown on the PCGS label.
Estimated Value $7,500-UP.
