Germany. Kienast-576. The German-French Armistice. Medal Hubs and Dies: By Karl Goetz. 36 mm obverse and reverse Hubs. 36 mm (2) obverse and reverse Dies. On June 22, 1940 (the medal shows erroneously a June 21 date) an Armistice was concluded by France with Germany at Compiegne in the railway carriage where Marchal Foch had dictated terms to the German delegation on November 11, 1918. Total weight 7.14 pounds. Sold as is, no returns. Lot of 5 items.
