Lot 35

1787 Connecticut Miller 39.1-ff.2 Rarity-6 VG7. Draped Bust Left. An AUCTOBI/ET LIR variety. Sharpness F12, even better in some areas, but the planchet has been banged up a bit and is slightly bent. No corrosion or verdigris. The notable marks are a rim dent at the bust tip and a planchet void at ET that obliterates those letters. The date is clear, and the AUCTOBI and LIR features are obvious. Mostly glossy light chocolate brown with slightly lighter reddish steel highpoints from a delicate cleaning. Weight 113.3 grains. Listed on page 62 in the "Redbook."
Estimated Value $100-UP.

Realized $112
