1787 Connecticut Miller 16.1-m Rarity-5+ VG10. Draped Bust Left. Clipped Planchet. Sharpness VF20 but covered with uniform fine corrosion. No marks or verdigris, but there is a straight-edge planchet clip affecting the dentils over CON. No verdigris. The only marks are a small planchet crack on the rim at the top of the reverse and a small planchet void in the drapery at the right bottom of the seated figure, both defects as struck. Struck slightly off center to K-9 leaving the bottom of the 1 off the planchet, but the date and legends remain easily readable. Slightly glossy very dark olive and steel with lighter chocolate toning on the highpoints. Weight 145.3 grains. Listed on page 62 in the "Redbook."
