1795 S-76b R1 Plain Edge VG10. Clipped Planchet. Five points sharper but fine roughness covers the planchet, strongest on the reverse. In addition there are a half dozen shallow scratches in the field under the cap, a dull dig under ER in LIBERTY, and traces of verdigris in protected areas on the reverse. Partially glossy medium to dark olive brown and chocolate with lighter steel brown toning on the devices. The date is strong and the legends are clear. EDS, before any swelling in the obverse fields. A curved planchet clip reaches to the base of the dentils over RTY and the opposing ones at CA in AMERICA.
