*President Harry S Truman was 33rd President of the United States. He died on December 26 1972, and these pattern coins are dated 1973. Popular and scholarly assessments of Truman's presidency were intitially negative, but eventually became more positive after his retirement from politics. Nevertheless there is no circulating coin which bears his image.
