1905 Theodore Roosevelt inaugural medal. NGC graded MS-65 Brown. Bronze, 44 mm. Only 3,000 struck. The design of the 1905 inaugural medal came from the original design of 1901 when Roosevelt became the president after the death of McKinley. The obverse of the 1901 medal was engraved by Charles Barber, and the reverse was designed by his assistant, George T. Morgan. The Davison Company took the design and changed the date to 1905, then reduced the size. The gold and 2 silver medals were made by Tiffany & Co., while all 3,000 bronze ones were produced by Joseph K. Davison's Sons Company.
Estimated Value $400-UP.
