1897 McKinley Presidential Campaign Medal. SCH-909, Brass. Mack, Teddy, & Prosperity. "Bryan Money". NGC graded MS-62. This political issue was made to support McKinley's policy of maintaining the gold standard against Bryan's free silver. A beautiful looped medal with a rotatable core part. Currently shows "A Dollar Worth 100 Cents" on the reverse and "I'm all right" on the obverse. If rotate the core part to right, the head and right wing of the eagle will come down, showing a depressed pose, and the inscription on the reverse will turn to "A Dollar Worth 50 Cents", while the inscription on the obverse turn to "Where am I at?" simultaneously. A very historic and well designed mechanical piece that remained to be popular after 100 years.
Estimated Value $150-UP.
