Lot 2090

1857-S. PCGS graded MS-66 PQ. CAC Approved. With blazing, softly frosted surfaces and handsome yellow-gold color, this coin makes a lovely impression on the viewer's eyes. Overall smooth surfaces are solidly graded as Gem, further confirming this coin as an important Gem-quality type candidate from the early Liberty double eagle series. Sharply struck, and sure to please, only a couple of inconsequential tiny marks are noted on each side. Pop 184; 11 finer in 67. (PCGS # 8922) .
Estimated Value $32,000 - 35,000.
