1853 S.S. Republic. NGC graded EF-45. Like many No Motto double eagles, this coin was recovered from a recent shipwreck find (the S.S. Republic in this case). The well-detailed design elements show typical wear for the assigned grade and just a few small marks. A desirable example with an interesting story.
