1834 C-1 R1. ANACS graded AU-55. Clipped Planchet. Very attractive frosty light olive brown and chocolate. Sharply struck with just a hint of friction on the highest points of the devices. The only defect is a short, light scratch from the bust tip to the field close above star 1. EDS, Manley state 1.0, before any die clashmarks. An incipient rim clip weakens the dentils over RI in AMERICA. Our grade is AU50. The "Rim Clip," insignificant as it may be, is noted on the ANACS label.
